Senior Pastor

Brian Hudson grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Southmont High School in 1985. After leaving Crawfordsville, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University Fort Wayne, a Master of Arts degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a master’s degree in education from Columbia International University in South Carolina.
Brian is the owner of two Crawfordsville businesses and the founder of The Clapham Circle, a consulting firm that partners with Christian schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations to enhance their visibility, influence, and impact. For more than thirty-five years, Brian has served in leadership roles in education, business, and nonprofit ministry, with a deep passion for preaching and teaching. His experience includes strategic planning, leadership development and coaching, public speaking, fundraising, board governance and training, and cultivating vibrant Christian cultures through biblical integration. Brian is grateful to have returned to his hometown of Crawfordsville three years ago, and looks forward to many years of fruitful ministry at First Baptist Church

Administrative Assistant

Marcie Sands has been the Administrative Assistant at FBC for 5 years. In that time, she has served alongside three pastors. She and her husband, John, met at First Baptist Church in the summer of 1980. Married in 1984, they continued their studies at Purdue. Marcie graduated with a BA in Elementary Education in 1988. John and Marcie have 3 lovely daughters and 2 amazing grandchildren. She has had the wonderful privilege of homeschooling her daughters and grandchildren. She has been able to homeschool her grandson for the past 2 years at FBC--what better place to homeschool than at FBC where ministry happens daily. She also loves to read, sew, crochet, and spend time with her grandchildren. Marcie has been involved in ministry at FBC for 45 years, starting in the New Life Singers at age 16. It was at FBC that she dedicated her life to Christ, made long-lasting friendships, served the Lord in many areas of ministry, and participated in planning and taking several mission trips alongside other faithful servants of Christ. . 

Director of Music

Linda Wilson has been Music Director at FBC since April of 2009. She has been a
musician and singer most of her life, beginning piano lessons at age 4. Linda met her
husband David, who played bass guitar, during high school. They were part of a
regionally famous rock band in the Crawfordsville music scene in the 1970’s, but when
both committed their lives to Jesus in the early 1980’s they gave up secular music to
focus on serving the Lord at FBC through their combined love of music. David was
Linda’s ministry partner until his passing in 2022.
Linda has extensive experience in many aspects of music including accompanying,
performing, recording, writing, arranging and directing. She has participated in
numerous types of ensembles her entire adult life, such as traveling with and singing in
an a cappella group, playing in handbell choirs, singing and playing in cantatas and
accompanying local high school musicals. Linda and her husband David once were part
owners in The Shed Recording Studio and produced radio commercials for businesses
throughout Central Indiana, as well as recording local artists for their own use. Linda
also was a singer for Aire Born Studio in Indianapolis for many years on demo tapes for
a variety of music publishers.
As FBC Music Director, Linda is excited to use her gifts to serve God in various musical
settings. She loves to lead the congregation each week in worship, and shepherd new
Worship/Tech Team members as they desire to use their gifts in serving God.
When Linda is not working on music, she loves to spend time with her adult children
and her seven grandchildren.
